You can make an outstanding trek in eastern Nepal from either Hile or Tumlingtar by walking north up the Arun River to Sedua and Num, then crossing Shipton La into the upper Barun Khola Valley for a close look at Makalu & Chamlang. The trek to Makalu base camp visits one of the most remote and unfrequented areas of Nepal. The Burun valley is part of a huge international protected area under an agreement between Nepal & China Some groups have attempted an even wilder trek by crossing Sherpani Col & west Col into the upper Hongu Besi. This trek has proved itself difficult & potentially very dangerous. If you want to go into the upper Hongu Besi & the Panch Pokhari situated there.

Itinerary of Makalu Base Camp Trekking : -

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu airport, transfer to hotel Pre-briefing about trek- Welcome dinner
Day 02: Some sightseeing in Kathmandu valleys' major places for couple of hours if necessary hire/buy trekking gears in Thamel
Day 03: Afternoon flight to Tumlingtar, meet the trekking crews,it will take couple of hours to make sure all loads with porters, short walk
Day 04: Khadbari
Day 05: Chichila
Day 06: Num
Day 07: Sedwa
Day 08: Tasigoan
Day 09: Kongma
Day 10: Restday
Day 11: Mumbuk
Day 12: Yangri Kharka
Day 13: Makalu Base Camp 5000m. 16650ft.
Day 14: Makalu Base Camp
Day 15: Yangri Kharka
Day 16: Mumbuk
Day 17: Kongma
Day 18: Tasigoan
Day 19: Sedwa
Day 20: Num
Day 21: Chichila
Day 22: Khadbari
Day 23: Fly back to Kathmandu, transfer to hotel, farewell dinner
